How To Unlock Blackberry:


WARNING:  Most provider allow 10 try for enter Unlock Code.  T-Mobile UK ONLY allows 3 try (T-Mobile UK customer should only attempt 1 try per code, if code error, contact us before continue).  If you attempted the three try, your phone will permanent locked to T-Mobile UK.

Model:  6xxx 7xxx: Example; 6230, 7100, and 7290 etc.:

Before you start, you MUST take out the Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios

1. Press the Menu key

2. Select Options / Settings

3. Select Sim Card

4. Enter MEPD (not case sensitive), Note: When typing in MEPD, the letters will not appear on the screen

5. Then enter MEP Hold Alt Key and type number 2.  NOTE: You must use the “alt” key to enable numbers, example: enter MEP hold “ALT key” and enter 2.  Note: When typing in MEP2, the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box.  If you do not see “Enter Network MEP” box, you didn’t type in MEP2 properly.

Model:  7100, 8100, 8110, 8120 & 8220:

Before you start, you MUST take out the Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios

1. Press the Menu key

2. Scroll to Turn Wireless Off and press the trackball (Will show Turn Wireless ON).

3. Scroll to Options and press the trackball.

4. Scroll to Advanced Options and press the trackball.

5. Scroll to SIM Card and press the trackball.

6. Type MEPD (not case sensitive). Notice:  Keep in mind for mepd is meoop on these model.  Because oo = p.  Note: When typing in MEPD, the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.

7. Type MEP, then hold ALT key and type number 2.  Note: When typing in MEP2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box.

8. Enter Unlock Code

9. Press the Enter Key. (Make sure you press the Enter Key within 5 second or you have to enter the unlock code again).


Model:  8700, 8700c, 8700g, 8700r

Before you start, you MUST take out the Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios

1. Press the Menu key

2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.

3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.

4. Scroll to and select the Setting icon.

5. Scroll to Options

6. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.

7. Scroll to and select SIM Card.

8. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.

9. Type MEP then hold ‘ALT” key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP ATL 2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box.

10. Enter the unlock code.

11. Press the Joydial to confirm (“Code Accepted should display)

12. Press and hold the red End key to turn the handheld off and then back on.

13. Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.

Model: Curve 8300, 8310, 8320, 8520, 8800, 8820, 8900, Bold 9000, 9630 Tour, 9700 Bold

Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card (could be Active or Inactive) & turn OFF ALL wireless radios

1. Press the Menu key

2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.

3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.

4. Scroll to and select the Options icon.

5. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.

6. Scroll to and select SIM Card.

7. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.

Method 1: Model: 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2, Telus, Bell Canada Storm
Before you start, you MUST have an Unauthorized Sim Card inserted.  Anauthorized Sim Card is a Sim Card that is NOT belong to the provider of the phone.  Example:  If you have a Verizon phone, you need to insert a T-Mobile Sim Card inside the phone before turn it on.

1. Power on the phone.

2. Phone will said “MEP check failed.  Do you want to enter MEP unlock code”.  Select Yes.

3. ”Enter Network MEP code (# left)”.  Enter the unlock code.

4. Press Enter,  you should see “Code Accepted”

5. You need to check Network Connection is set on GSM/UMTS.  Menu>Manage Connection>Mobile Network Options and make sure it GSM/UMTS.

6. Once GSM/UMTS is selected.  You can now ready to make phone call.

Notice: If the network not working after your phone is fully charged and unlocking process “Code Accepted”.  You must change from Verizon CDMA network to GSM Global Network a few times, after change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network.  Now it should work. (Verizon 8830 World Edition DOES NOT work in USA)


Method 2: Model: 8830, 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2, Telus, Bell Canada Storm
Before you start, you MUST have Sim Card inserted & turn OFF ALL wireless radios, turn the phone sideways so you get the full QWERTY keypad.

1. Press the Menu key

2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.

3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.

4. Scroll to and select the Options icon.

5. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.

6. Scroll to and select SIM Card.

7. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen, this step open up the personalization on the device.

8. Type MEP then hold ‘ALT” key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP ATL 2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box.

9. Enter the unlock code.

10. Press Enter (Press the trackball for 8830),  you should see “Code Accepted”

11. Press and hold power key to turn the handheld off and then back on.

12. Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.

Notice: If the network not working after your phone is fully charged and unlocking process “Code Accepted”.  You must change from Verizon CDMA network to GSM Global Network a few times, after change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network.  Now it should work. Model: ONLY for Telus & Bell Mobility 9000, 9700 Bold

Before you start, you MUST have a Sim Card (could be Active or Inactive) & turn OFF ALL wireless radios

1. Press the Menu key

2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.

3. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.

4. Scroll to and select the Options icon.

5. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.

6. Scroll to and select SIM Card.

7. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the Personalization on the device.  Look at Network, if it appear the word “Active”, then continue to step number 8.  If Network appear “Inactive/Disabled” then skip 8-10 and continue to step number 11 (use only the MEP4 code we provided.  Your phone does not requires MEP2 code).

8. Type MEP then hold ‘ALT” key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP ATL 2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box.

9. Enter the MEP2 unlock code.

10. Press the trackball (“Code Accepted” should display).

11. Type MEP then hold “ALT” key and type number 4.

12. Enter the MEP4 unlock code.

13. Press the trackball (“Code Accepted” should display again).

14. Press and hold the red End key to turn the handheld off and then back on.

15. Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.

Here are the MSL CDMA Unlock Codes for your BlackBerry 9630 Tour
MSL: ALT MSL:

To use this code:
1. From the homescreen of the BlackBerry, press the green call button to enter the phone.
2. Type in ##MSL CODE then the green talk button (ie: ##123456 Green talk button).
3. In the CDMA service edit screen, delete the number in the first row (000000xxxx) and replace it with your current phone number.
4. Press the menu key and choose save.
5. The device will re-boot.
When the device re-boots, Activation Required will be gone and the active  carrier name will now appear.

Known issue for Verizon 8830 World Edition & 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2, Tour 9630:

1. If your Storm is not recognizing the network, make sure your phone battery is full and the radio is on.

2. Sometimes the phone requires you to do “MEPPD” and “MEPP2” instead of “MEPD” and “MEP2″.  If this occurs, redo unlock step above with “MEPPD” and “MEPP2”

3. If the network not working after your phone is fully charged and unlocking process “Code Accepted”.  You must change from Verizon CDMA network to GSM Global Network a few times, after change from Verizon CDMA to GSM Global 3 times is completed, leaves it on GSM Global Network.  Now it should work. (Verizon 8830 World Edition DOES NOT work in USA)

Removing “Activation Required” on the screen for Verizon Storm:

1. On the main screen, press ##000000

2. For the Mobile Directory Number, Enter your phone number in here.

3. Press the Menu to save the options and the phone will automatically restart.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry Bold (9000), 8800, 8820, Curve (8300, 8310, 8320), Javelin (8900), & Gemini (8520):

Note: NO SIM is needed to unlock the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT and press: m e p 2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry Pearl (8100, 8110, 8120, 8220):

Note: Remove any SIM that is currently in the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT (Left side Below @) and press: m e p p 2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 8830:

Note: SIM is REQUIRED to unlock the phone. SIM card can be inactive, doesn’t need to active. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT and press: m e p 2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!
Exception: If phone says Code Error and the attempts stay the same, start off with 10 attempts and still says 10 attempts after enter code, then continue with instructions, this is just a glitch on the phone.
Remember: This is a dual-band phone, it will NOT work in North America but will work fine in Europe, Asia, South America where they use the other set of frequencies.


How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 8700/8700c/8700g:

Note: SIM is REQUIRED to unlock the phone. SIM card can be inactive, doesn’t need to active. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT and press: M E P E (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
6) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press jog dial to confirm and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 7105t:

Note: SIM is REQUIRED to unlock the phone. SIM card can be inactive, doesn’t need to active. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Using the menu, go to Settings Menu
3) Go to Sim Card
4) HOLD the SHIFT key, type mepd
5) HOLD the SHIFT key, type mep2
6) Release the SHIFT key
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press return/enter and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 7100/7130/7130c:

Note: Remove any SIM that is currently in the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT (Left side Below @) and press: M E P P 2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on Blackberry 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx (Except for 7100):

Note: After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.
1) Power on
2) Go to Options.
3) Scroll to SIM CARD then press jog dial in once to select it
4) HOLD ALT (Half moon key on the lower left side) and press: M E P E (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
5) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press jog dial once to confirm and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on Blackberry Vodafone Storm (9500):

1) Turn off the phone
2) Need a SIM card inserted into the phone (Example: Verizon, At&t, T-mobile)
3) Turn on the phone
4) Go to Settings (Button that has dots next to green call button), Click on Manage Connections, Select ‘Turn All Connections Off’
5) Press End Call (Red button)
6) Go to Settings, then Options, then Advanced Options, then SIM Card 7) Hit the Settings Button (Button that has dots next to green call button) and select ‘Show Keyboard’
8) Type in mepd (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
9) Type in mep2 or mepp2 and another screen will pop-up prompting for the MEP code (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
10) Enter the code, Remember you ONLY have 10 chances to get it right
11) Press enter and your phone is unlocked!


How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry Storm (9530):

1) Turn off the phone
2) Need a SIM card inserted into the phone (Example: Verizon, At&t, T-mobile)
3) Turn on the phone
4) Go to Settings (Button that has dots next to green call button), Click on Manage Connections, Select ‘Turn All Connections Off’
5) Press End Call (Red button)
6) Inside Settings menu, Click Options, then Mobile Network, on the switch technology to ‘Global’ if that has not been done.
Exception: If phone prompts ‘Would you like your Blackberry to automatically select CDMA or GSM based on network availability’, select No.
7) Now click the Back Arrow Button (Next to the Red End Call button) and select Advanced Options and then SIM Card
8) Hit the Settings Button (Button that has dots next to green call button) and select ‘Show Keyboard’
9) Type in mep2 or mepp2 and another screen will pop-up prompting for the MEP code (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
Exception: If nothing is prompting up and you are making sure you are selecting each button by press the screen in, do a wipe handheld to reset the phone to manufacturer default: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=110075
10) Enter the code, Remember you ONLY have 10 chances to get it right
11) Press the Enter key (Button that looks like a backwards L arrow)
12) A message will appear saying Code Accepted
Exception: If phone says Code Error and the attempts stay the same, start off with 10 attempts and still says 10 attempts after enter code, then continue with instructions, this is a glitch on the phone
13) Turn device off by removing battery, insert SIM of your choice if have not done so already. Turning device is necessary even if you have SIM of choice inserted.
14) Turn the phone back on
15) Go to Settings, then Options, then Mobile Network, on the third row switch Network Technology to GSM/UMTS.
16) Press the Back Arrow Button to exit and save settings.
17) Return to the main screen by pressing End Call and you should see your phone getting signal
18) As a reminder, if you ever remove the SIM card from your phone, you will need to set the Network Technology as GSM/UMTS again

Issues:
1) If you have issues with the phone not recognizing the network, make sure the radio is on by making sure it is not low on power.
2) If you follow the above instructions and code is accepted with the Network Technology set to GSM/UMTS and still not working, it may be the SIM needs to be replaced with a newer SIM Card.

Removing “Activation Required” on the screen or changing the Phone Number:
1) On the main screen of the phone, press Call (Green Button)
2) Type on the screen: ##000000
3) Press the Call Button
4) For the Mobile Directory Number, put in your phone number in there
5) After you have done that, press the Menu Button to Save the options and the phone will automatically restart
6) After restarting, it will be updated

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry Tour (9630):

1) Turn off the phone
2) Need a SIM card inserted into the phone (Example: Verizon, At&t, T-mobile)
3) Turn on the phone
4) Go to Settings
5) Go to Options
6) Go to Advanced Options
7) Go to Sim Card
8) HOLD ALT and press: m e p 2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
9) Enter the code, Remember you ONLY have 10 chances to get it right
10) Enter it and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!
11) A message will appear saying Code Accepted
12) Turn device off by removing battery, insert SIM of your choice if have not done so already. Turning device is necessary even if you have SIM of choice inserted.
13) Turn the phone back on
14) Go to Settings, then Manage Connections, then Mobile Network Options and set the Network Technology to GSM/UMTS.
15) Set Network Mode to 3G & 2G.
16) Press the Back Arrow Button once to exit and save settings.
17) Inside the Manage Connections, set Mobile Network to on.
18) Return to the main screen by pressing End Call and you should see your phone getting signal
19) As a reminder, if you ever remove the SIM card from your phone, you will need to set the Network Technology as GSM/UMTS again
